Roundup Builder is a small, self-contained web app for turning a pile of photos into a polished, print-ready document — newsletters, weekly updates, event recaps and anything else that's better told in pictures.
Upload photos, organise them into sections, and pick from a range of automatic layouts — square and landscape grids, mosaics, feature heroes and natural justified rows. Drag to reorder, set per-photo crops and focal points, and let the app handle EXIF orientation and resizing. One click exports a formatted .docx that opens cleanly in Word or Google Docs.
It's fully white-label: the first person to open the app becomes the admin and can rename it, set a brand colour and upload a logo — all reflected across the UI and the exported documents. Every user sees only the roundups they created, while admins see everything.
Roundup Builder is free, open-source (MIT) and self-hostable. It runs anywhere Docker does, stores everything locally, and needs no third-party services — download it, set a secret key, and you're running.
